Area guide: Bayswater - London

Check out office to rent in the area

Since as far back as the 19th century, Bayswater has been synonymous with wealth, tourism, fine-dining, and the luxury living. This well-heeled part of West London, adjacent to Notting Hill on one side and Hyde Park on the other, can feel like a world away from central London, despite the fact that it’s only around 10 minutes to Oxford Circus by Tube.

In its modern incarnation Bayswater has become known as a magnet for wealthy tourists who want to be close to Hyde Park, and the abundance of restaurants and hotels in the area. But there are also some prestigious office buildings and retail units in and around Westbourne Grove, the home of London’s original department store, and in nearby Notting Hill, just a few minutes’ walk from Bayswater Underground Station.
