Area guide: Battersea - London

Check out office to rent in the area

Battersea is home to one of the most iconic buildings to be found anywhere on the banks of the River Thames, the famous Power Station. Now decommissioned, the old coal-power station is in the midst of a significant phased mixed-use redevelopment, which is not only breathing new life to the listed building itself, but the whole surrounding area.

The project is symbolic of the whole Battersea area, which has always been something of a powerhouse of business but now, thanks in part to the scheduled extension of the London Underground which will bring with it the first Tube station to the area, has an even brighter future ahead of it. The area is known for its high standard of living, excellent restaurants and bars, and, with new offices and retail opening up all the time, a strong commercial property market as well.
