Proptech company Realla has poached Matt Glenny, an associate director at JLL, as its director of business development.
Glenny joined Realla, the commercial property search engine for tenants and investors, after more than six years at JLL.
Co-founder Andrew Miles said that, as one of Realla’s first clients, Glenny has helped “shape the product”,adding: “He has a good network and great reputation in the market.”
After working initially in leasing and tenant representation in JLL’s central London offices team, Glenny helped set up the firm’s London Unlimited business, which specialises in retail and office leasing and investment outside the City and West End markets.
He told Property Week that joining Realla was a chance to solve many of the “frustrations” he met as an agent.
“At JLL, using Realla helped improve our speed to market, and I’m excited to be bringing these benefits to other agents and their clients,” he said.
Realla is backed by Simon Murdoch, the venture capitalist who seeded Zoopla, the family office for billionaire Nathan Kirsh and Lloyd Dorfman, founder of Travelex.
