The Penrose Awards bring together 200 Founders, Investors, Journalists & Innovation Specialists for an extraordinary innovation event.
The Penrose awards were held last night at Camden Interchange in London. The Penrose award brings together innovative startups, entrepreneurs, journalists and investors. Despite being only in its second year the awards are highly regarded as one of the most forward thinking events. An elite independent judging panel of pioneers, investors and innovation specialists selected from 50 extraordinary early stage ventures that challenge the status quo in their industry.
Artificial Intelligence Panel
The event began with a discussion panel on ‘What does a qualification look like in a post-AI world’ with Jeremy Brown (founder Sense WorldWide), Jonathan Margolis (Financial times), Steve O’Hear (tech editor TechCrunch), Dr Ali Parsa (Babylon Health) and Dr Charles Wiles (ZZish).
The panel was then followed by a keynote speech from Billionaire entrepreneur Vernon Hill, Founder of Commerce Bank & Metro Bank PLC. Metro was the first new high street bank to launch in the UK for +150 years. In just 6 years, it has opened 42 branches & listed on The London Stock Exchange. Vernon shared his vision for better banking, alongside his own dramatic innovation story.
